job overview 

The Intelligence Analyst Level II will be responsible for managing and directing the analysis, processing, and distribution of strategic and tactical intelligence in the development of Force Management Manpower Studies in accordance with the Army Regulation (AR) 570-4 guidelines. The Intelligence Analyst Level II will be responsible for processing incoming Force Management Manpower Studies to include the Base Line Package Submissions Reports on the Study, Workload spreadsheet calculations on the study, and draft Table of Distribution and Allowance (TDA) paragraph summaries. The successful candidate will have the ability to determine the accuracy and credibility of the information provided, identify potential threats that might affect the Force Management operation, and distribute the findings to commanding officers for complex decision making.

job responsibilities 

  • Understand and analyze technical communications data and distilling information for the production of Manpower Studies Plan

  • Produce broad and complex all-source intelligence relative to the Manpower Studies Plan to include : the Base Line Package Submissions Reports on the Study, Workload spreadsheet calculations on the study, and draft Table of Distribution and Allowance (TDA) paragraph summaries 

  • Assess the significance and reliability of proposed Manpower Studies Plan with current information and intelligence 

  • Analyze and incorporate the research process of missions, roles, functions, and tasks

  • Research, analyze, interpret, evaluate, and integrate extremely complex all-source intelligence data and force structure related the Government's Major Subordinate Commands (MSC) and key military leadership associated with the Force Management Manpower Report 

  • Develop the United States Army Manpower Analysis Agency (USAMAA) Base Line Submission (BSP) Reports for each of the MSC TDA paragraphs 

  • Conduct a workload analysis on each BSP submitted by the MSC

  • Conduct a tabular calculation analysis of the submitted workload followed by documenting the results of the tabular calculations as well as compare work tasks between all the submitted MSC BSPs

  • Manage workload analysis of mission tasks

  • Establish and maintain systematic cross-reference of intelligence records and files 

  • Establish collection procedures and directives on intelligence operations management, force management, and intelligence information reporting writing 

  • Direct the writing, compiling, dissemination, and presentation of reports and the analytical results 

  • In coordination with the Government's Manpower TTM , develop an end of Study Results Briefing

  • Serve as a technical threat expert and apply in-depth intelligence analytical skills to identify, assess, design, and report on highly complex technical and operational military capabilities, key military leadership, military policies, plans, strategies, intentions, and their impact on Force Management Manpower Studies 

  • Create, submit, and review collection and production requirements, tasks, and deliverables 

job requirements 

  • Must have a current DoD TS|SCI Security Clearance and CI Poly

  • Must have an associate degree from an accredited institution 

  • Must have Military Intelligence (MI) Operations experience with :

    • A minimum of six (6) years of Military Intelligence (MI) Operations experience, with at least one (1) year of MI Operations within the past five(5) years OR​

    • A minimum of four (4) years of managing Military Intelligence Operations at the Brigade S-3 level or above

  • Must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication

  • Must have a wide range of threat intelligence analytic skills to monitor, assess, and report on steady state operations and planning requirements
