The Military Analyst Level I will provide administrative support services to the Army Command by providing Stationing Studies to include the deliverables of cataloging and summarizing organizational relocation proposals; researching and cataloging Headquarters Department of Army (HQDA) directives on unit relocations and courses of action on relocation options. The Military Analyst will support the Army Command in the Department of the Army Table of Distribution of Allowance (TDA) Equipment Requirement Validation Board (ERVB) Submissions to include collecting and cataloging Major Subordinate Commands (MSC) equipment change requests and MSC equipment dispositions tabulated in matrix form and developing estimated cost impacts to the Army Command and HQDA. In addition, the Military Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Army Command Total Army Analysis Update Brief (ITUB) Submissions to include the deliverables of collecting and cataloging MSC force structure request changes. In support of the Army Command, the Military Analyst will develop briefings and provide the results. 

Job responsibilities

  • Conduct research on the Department of the Army TDA Equipment Requirement Change Policy

  • Conduct research of Army Regulations and Policies that govern equipment BOIP, unit set fielding, Programs of Record, Supply Bulletins, Line Item Numbers (LINs), Headquarters Department of the Army 

  • Manage equipment and non-tactical GSA type procured equipment

  • Monitor FMS Web for the Army Command's TDA organization 4610-R request changes

  • Collect and catalog 4610-R submissions, alerting the Army Command of the equipment change request 

  • Be prepared to Start Headquarters staffing and report results of the proposed Army Command Force Management Initiatives for stationing implications 

  • Systematize Headquarters equipment requirement change request staffing results 

  • Assist with staffing equipment requirement change requests with HQDA Staff elements 

  • Develop senior "read-ahead" information packets for the Army Command

  • Will assist in developing Equipment Requirement Validation Board packets and read ahead information packets for senior leaders

  • Develop executive memorandums

  • Collect, catalog, and  collate government force structure change request 

  • Develop the ITUB briefing and incorporate change directed by the Army Command

  • Take notes during briefings for Army Command leadership discussions

  • Develop the Executive Summary for the Army Command

  • Conduct research of the Department of the Army Unit Stationing policy

  • Conduct research of Army Regulations that govern Unit Station changes 

  • Review proposed Army Command Force Management Initiatives for stationing implications 

  • Report results of proposed Army Command Force Management Initiatives for Stationing Implications 

  • Develop Military Decision Making Process (MDMP) Course of Action (COA's ) with Pros and Cons for Army Command Force Management Stationing actions 

  • Incorporate and synchronize other Army Command principle staff contributions to stationing studies

  • Assist the Army Command's Force Management (FM) Technical Task Manager (TTM) in documenting that Command's Unit Stationing Studies

  • Monitor the Army Command's force structure changes and alert the Army Command's FM TTM of an outgoing force structure action that could require the Command's stationing study 

job requirements 

  • Must have a current DoD TS| SCI Clearance and CI Poly

  • Must possess a High School diploma

  • Must have two (2) years of Combat Support or Combat Service Support operations within the past five (5) years of which at least two (2) years included analytical review of military support operations, functions, roles, and associated tasks

  • Must become knowledgeable of the Department of the Army Equipment Requirement Policy
