The Program Analyst II will provide professional and administrative support services in support of its program and management analysis for law enforcement related activities and daily business operations at HQ, nationwide districts, and other Agency locations. The Program Analyst conducts processes and procedures as required by the Program Office.

job responsibilities 

  • Gathers and organizes information from a variety of sources such as records, computer files, previous studies , interviews, and accountable properties

  • Prepares and edits various kinds of written correspondences

  • Reviews and analyzes documents submitted for completeness and accuracy

  • Reviews various invoices and financial documents 

  • Works in groups and teams on special projects to accomplish program goals

  • Communicates via telephone and email with high-level officials throughout the agency and District Offices, as well as other contract affiliates

  • Researches and provides accurate information on matters necessary to carry out program policies 

  • Performs a cost/ benefit analysis

  • Develops modeling techniques and methods 

  • Constructs workflow charts and diagrams; and studies program capabilities and writes specifications

  • Recommends controls by identifying problems and providing written procedures for improvement 

  • Defines project requirements by pinpointing milestones, phrases, and elements 

  • Prepares statistical analyses and evaluations of program performance as it relates to various operations 

  • Assists in fund transfer using various Government Databases

  • Develops and maintains logs and databases to track program activities 

  • Provides administrative support to the various branch offices within the Government 

  • Prepares correspondence related to program issues for high-level signature 

  • Updates, automated records, and databases

  • Prepares a variety of reports, as needed

  • Processes various types of incoming inquiries and documentation

  • Collects, compiles, and reports data concerning weekly accomplishments 

job requirements 

  • Must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution 

  • Must have three (3) years of experience with financial , budgetary, or a related field

  • Must have superior time management, organization, and prioritization skills

  • Must be able to build and maintain relationships with internal employees as well as outside sources

  • Must have excellent attention to detail

  • Must have strong communication skills

  • Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality 

  • Must be able to quickly and effectively adapt to change 

  • Must be able to embrace new systems and process enhancements 

  • Must be proficient in using Virtual Earth, MapPoint, Google Earth Software, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft PowerPoint
