Job responsibilities 

  • Support the collection and analysis of data pertaining to the various components of OCS (e.g. requirements determination, Contract Support Integration, Contracting Support, and Contractor Management, etc.) to support identification of project development and efforts with JCASO stakeholders to identify problems or opportunities that may lend themselves to process improvements for greater effectiveness and efficiency 

  • Conduct detailed analysis on contract data (from the Joint Requirements Review Board, Joint Contracting Support Board, or other OCS Boards, Bureaus, Center, or Cell Working Groups) and other OCS- related data when provided by the Government to assess the effectiveness of OCS doctrine, existing processes, and best practices 

  • Coordinate and synchronize with other OCS stakeholders through JCASO to support the development of OCS training and education materials and methodology to ensure that the proposed DoD OCS Continental United States (CONUS) policy is in alignment, supports , and optimizes process already established within the WOG construct to include use of interagency, non-governmental organizations, international organizations, and their contributions to the total force that result in unified action

  • Capture relevant information from databases or open sources; provide general administrative support, such as scheduling, preparing agendas, taking notes, distributing meeting summary, and tracking action items 

  • Assist with the development and reporting of JCASO's performance metrics and mission measures to drive OCS process improvements and optimize JCASO performance. Metrics will be analyzed to identify trends to provide recommendations to increase reporting accuracy and advance JCASO readiness to perform its mission and improve the GCC's ability to conduct OCS planning and execution 

  • Support exercises at designated locations. Locations include Combatant Commands and Service Component headquarters in CONUS

  • Support activities, to include: tracking exercise schedules, budget,  capturing lessons learned, and assisting in pre-exercise training activities 

  • Assist with the identification and development of policies and plans to aid OCS efforts to enhance Vendor Threat Mitigation (VTM). VTM has interest at the DoD, Joint Staff (JS), and Combatant Command (COCOM) level and has been identified as a critical vulnerability in the 2018 National Defense Strategy, Multiple National Defense Authorization Acts, and Government Accountability Office (GAO) reports 

  • Close interaction with Senior Joint Staff J-4 personnel, JCASO policy and process experts and with operations and logistics plans staff at the COCOM level

  • Review current VTM processes, recommendations for improvement to policy and guidance and other such input as may be required to aid in closing vulnerabilities identified above will be provided to the JCASO PM and reported in the existing monthly report structure 

  • Assist in the planning, collecting of data, and execution of the Annual Planning Conference. This three to four day event aligns worldwide OCS efforts and updates as dispersed planning team an OCS community of interest items 

  • Tasks included arranging appropriate conference facilities for approximately 100 guests at a SECRET level classification. This is a capstone event for JCASO

  • Must document  the efforts performed in the completion of each task in a detailed monthly status report due to the Program Manager on the 10th of each month. A copy of the status report must also be submitted to the COR

Job requirements 

  • Must possess a current Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance 

  • Must have BA/BS in Business or Program Management 

  • Must possess at least five (5) years of Business or Program management experience 

  • Must possess two (2) years of Operational Contract Support (OCS) experience
