PSL Administration and Staffing Support

Job Overview

PSL (The Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps (HQMC) Marine Corps Law Enforcement Program (MCLEP), Law Enforcement, Corrections and Criminal Investigation Branch) Administration and Staffing Support performs a variety of office administrative services to several units with the PSL Branch.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Perform various office administrative services within PSL/PS/PP&O.

  • Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, SharePoint, databases, and email in order to support PSL.

  • Utilize office automation equipment, including copy machines, networked computers, laser printers, shredders,scanners, and other electronic equipment as necessary in supporting PSL.

  • Manage PSL office IT systems and serve as a liaison between the office and HQMC IT support to resolve IT issues.

  • Provide management support of PSL SharePoint to include SharePoint development and maintenance.

  • Conduct PSL level staffing coordinated responses to Department of Navy (DoN) Trackers to include management of PSL DoN Trackers responses and archives. 

  • Coordinate the development of information papers, decision papers, briefs, and other official correspondences.

  • Perform Pentagon visitor access coordination.

  • Manage an electronic database of all documents produced to include policy, orders, directives, publications, rosters, etc.

  • Manage contact cards all relevant Law Enforcement (LE) Point of Contact (POCs) throughout the Service, DoD, and local/state/federal agencies.

  • Manage policy tracker of Marine Corps Orders (MCOs)/ Marine Corps Bulletins (MCBUL)/etc. under PSL responsibility.

Job Requirements 

  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in any field.

  • Must have five (5) years of experience in Administration, or serving in the position or rank of E-7/ Project Manager.

  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a staff or protocol officer within DoD.

  • Must have knowledge of IT systems and the use of IT support infrastructure. 

  • Must have expertise in SharePoint development and maintenance. 

  • Must have an understanding of PS,PP&O, HQMC, DoN, and OSD staffing procedures to include the use of DoN Tracker. 

  • Must have the ability to manage and track all correspondence to include, but not limited to, information papers, decision papers, briefs, taskers, and travel requests.

  • Must possess expertise in use of office software, such as Microsoft Office Suite of Tools, Teams, SharePoint, databases, and email.

  • Must have expertise in the use of office automation equipment, i.e., copy machines, facsimile machines, networked computers, laser printers, shredders,scanners, and other electronic equipment necessary.

  • Must have an understanding of and ability to write and revise information papers, decision papers, briefs, and other official correspondences.

  • Must have the ability to manage an electronic database of all documents produced, to include police orders, directives, publications, and rosters.

  • Must have the ability to manage contact cards for all relevant LE POCs throughout the Service, DoD, and local/state/federal agencies.

  • Must have the ability to manage policy tracker of MCOs/MCBULs under PSL responsibility.
