About The VSU Internship Program: The Virginia State University Program, VSU Internship Program, has been designed to  help students from a Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZones) designated area.  A HUBZone designated area  is identified by the United States Small Business Administration (SBA) as a region or district which is economically  depressed due to unemployment and under resourced community businesses.  The SBA has identified Mecklenburg  County, Virginia as a HUBZone.  The SBA offers incentives to business owners that operate businesses in HUBZones in an  effort to stimulate the local economy.  As a continual commitment to VSU and the surrounding community, C3R has  identified Mecklenburg County, Virginia as one of our designated HUBZones to support.

VSU Internship Program Eligibility: C3R is seeking college students attending VSU for paid and unpaid intern positions for  the academic year of September 2017 to May 2018.  Students who are interested in the internship program must be a full-  time student entering college at VSU in September 2017 or a continuing student enrolled full-time.  Students must be from  Mecklenburg County Virginia. [Full-time as defined by VSU].

Benefits of the VSU Internship Program: The C3R goal is to help students from the HUBZone geographical area attend  college at VSU. While in the VSU Internship Program, students will be given assignments which will enhance their  educational development and improve their ability to obtain work upon graduating from VSU.
