FBI APSS Forensic Accountant
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience
Clearance: Top Secret with SCI
Location: Washington, D.C.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Share investigative knowledge and findings with FBI Special Agents, other law enforcement partners and prosecuting attorneys. Testify as a summary, fact, or expert witness in judicial proceedings.

Work in conjunction with, and exchange ideas with individuals in private industry and other government agencies including Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF); Central Intelligence Agency (CIA); Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA); Internal Revenue Service (IRS); Offices of Inspector General (OIG); Securities Exchange Commission (SEC); United States Attorney's Offices (USAO); and state and local partners.

Perform research analysis of personal and business records; identify and trace funding sources/disposition of illicit activity; identify assets for seizure/ forfeiture, calculate losses and utilize technological systems to perform in-depth examinations.

Participate in gathering evidence, preparing affidavits, assisting on search warrants, and interviewing victims, witnesses, and subjects in no confrontational settings.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with eight (8) year or more of forensics accounting

experience. Educational requirement may be waived if the candidate has ten (10) or more years of experience.

Have one of the following professional certifications: CFE, or CFF.

Eight (8) or more years of using analytical abilities to analyze financial documents.

Eight (8) years or more of auditing skills to review financial documents, identify errors in records and investigate potential fraud.
